The Tuna Cans 5.56 – XL is the largest version of our hard-use 5.56 lineup—built for shooters who want maximum baffles, maximum internal volume, and maximum durability without the premium price tag. Made in-house in our Texas warehouse from heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel, this is a serious can designed to run hard.

The XL model features a 12-baffle stack with ribbed baffles to increase turbulence through the chambers for strong performance. The threaded baffle system means each baffle screws together, creating a solid, serviceable stack that’s built for heavy use.

Up front, it includes a large 3″ blast chamber so it can accept HUB mounts and large mounting systems that use standard TPI threading (we recommend pairing it with the Tuna Can “1-Piece” Mount).

With a .299 bore, it’s optimized for .223/5.56 and is FULL AUTO rated for .223 / 5.56, with semi-auto capability for 6mm ARC and 6mm PRC.
